ETF Industry KPIs 10/26/2026

This week’s KPI data overview highlights key metrics and trends shaping the ETF landscape:

  • Over the past two weeks since our last update, we added 61 new listings to our database and removed 39 ETFs that were delisted, bringing the universe to 5,735 funds. Among the new listings, 25 were fixed income ETFs, perhaps reflecting renewed enthusiasm for the asset class amid higher rates.
  • Total AUM fell by $224 Billion (~1.4%) during the past two weeks to $16.3 Trillion, still up 24.9% versus the same period last year. Competition continues to increase, with 511 issuers now competing for fee revenue of $27.9 Billion (on an annualized basis).
  • Among funds listed in the last year (and still trading), fully 82% were actively managed. Yet this continues to be the smallest segment of the market in terms of AUM at only a 14% market share.
